The Founder
Kerimè Ataker’s design philosophy is shaped by heritage, discipline, and an enduring commitment to family.
Born and raised in Istanbul, she moved to Hawaii at the age of nineteen a formative transition that continues to influence her aesthetic. The contrast between Old World refinement and natural ease defines her approach: architectural silhouettes softened by movement, precision balanced with restraint.
Raised in a close-knit family of nine siblings, Kerimè learned early the importance of connection, responsibility, and legacy values that remain central to her work today.
Establishing a Couture House
Kerimè Ataker is not only a designer, but a builder.
She established and built the John Paul Ataker brand in the United States, laying its operational, retail, and market foundation. From its earliest presence, Kerimè oversaw the brand’s development across retail, wholesale, and international markets, shaping its growth and positioning from the ground up.
Under her leadership, the house expanded to more than 100 boutiques worldwide and opened its Madison Avenue flagship in 2017 a defining milestone that positioned the brand within the global couture landscape.
Kerimè also directed four New York Fashion Week seasons, overseeing brand presentation and ensuring each collection was introduced with clarity, consistency, and distinction. She served as the primary liaison between the atelier and its clients, ensuring each piece reflected both couture standards and individual vision.
This work established the brand’s reputation for architectural silhouettes, refined tailoring, and uncompromising quality.
